From the moment that you arrive at Hyfrydle, Rating Row, Beaumaris, you can start to unwind as everything fits into place with ease. Tucked away just behind the main street, only a stones-throw from the seafront and almost opposite the famous Beaumaris Castle, this luxurious seaside cottage doesn’t only have two parking spaces at the rear* but it also comfortably sleeps up to six.
Hyfrydle is steeped in history dating back to the 1890s, and with that in mind, it was loving restored in 2019. This home now oozes the nautical style that it required; which is welcoming with a light and airy feel.
As soon as you enter the doors of Hyfrydle you are greeted by a family feel; with its king-size bedroom to the front, a double bedroom in the loft and an almost unheard of spacious twin to the rear. There is also a luxurious large family bathroom on the first floor and an extra shower room on the ground floor.
Below are the three spacious bedrooms. The first includes two sash windows looking out onto the historic Beaumaris street below, the second is a loft room where you can enjoy a sanctuary of silence, and the third includes two singles which can be transformed into a super-king upon request.

With family-time paramount, take the chance to gather in the lounge and watch your favourite film or play that much-loved board game in front of the roaring log burner, alternatively just sit back, relax and watch the world go by through the beautiful bay window.
At Hyfrydle diners can be as formal as they like with a table ready to impress in the separate dining room, which includes French-doors opening on to the garden for that all-important alfresco dining. To the rear of Hyfrydle, just off the dining room, is an in-keeping nautical themed kitchen which is fully equipped to make it feel like a home-from-home. Cooks can pour themselves a secret glass of wine and create their masterpieces in the culinary space, which also includes a large fridge and freezer for pre-prepared meals if you wish to take the pressure off and a fitted dishwasher.
Bask in an abundance of light in the bay-windowed lounge or cook up a storm in the nautical cottage-style kitchen. The kitchen is situated just through a doorway from the dining room fit for six. Also on the ground floor is a convenient and beautifully presented shower room.
Just a step further on through the house you will find the utility room, where there is an extra sink and washing machine to freshen up your clothes after exploring the delights of Anglesey, or to spruce up those mucky pups.
While we are on the subject of dogs, Hyfrydle also has an enclosed garden for our four-legged guests to enjoy, or even those two-legged sun-lovers who wish to enjoy a glass of something nice outdoors.
Hyfrydle really has everything and more for that stress-free break – nestled just a short stroll from all the restaurants and shops, the stunning seaside walks or historic sites. Beaumaris is also situated near to Menai Bridge, the entrance to Anglesey, making it easy to reach from the mainland and is a great place to stay to explore the island or the picturesque sights of Snowdonia.
